This weeks game saw a young Norwich City side coast past Crawley Town with a 3-1 win.

Crawley Town caused Norwich some problems in the second half but Norwich easily came out on top in the end bagging three goals against the League One outfit. A debut goal from Cameron Jerome saw Norwich go into the break with the lead. Josh Murphy doubled Norwich’s lead on the 50th minute with a driven shot into the bottom corner of Jensen’s net.

An own-goal from another Norwich debutant, Carlos Cuellar, made for a nervy half hour before Josh Murphy sealed the win with his second goal of the game – a terrific strike from 20 yards.

Norwich City

Rudd – Some key saves from the young Norwich ‘keeper, one of which arguably stopped the game from heading into extra-time. 6.5
Martin – A relatively poor game from the Norwich captain. He was beaten far too often by the Crawley left winger. 6.0
McFadden – A first team début for the 19 year old had a reasonable game, nothing outstanding, but also no costly mistakes. 6.0

Jacob Murphy – A strong performance on the wing, linked very well with his twin Josh. Jacob got the assist for Norwich’s second goal. 7.0
Josh Murphy – Man of the match performance from one of the brightest sparks in the current Norwich squad. Scored twice and was a constant threat running at the Crawley back four. 8.0
Jerome – Arguably the best of the débutantes in the Norwich team, bagged himself a goal and was used as a target man for the long balls. 7.0

Walsh – Another solid performance in the heart of the defence alongside Leacock. Dealt well with the physical threat of Jerome. 6.5
Dickson – The ex-Southampton left-back had a relatively poor game trying to cope with the pace of the ever switching Murphy twins. 5.5
Edwards – An everage game from a player who done very littler to effect the game in any way. 6.0
Smith – The ex-Norwich player returned to Carrow Road and had a reasonable game in the centre of the park, linking defence with attack well. 6.5
