Jordan Spence keen to show more

Defender Jordan Spence is targeting a higher level of performance for the Dons following his permanent move to the club.

Spence enjoyed two successful loan spells with MK Dons last season but he has signed for the club on a permanent basis this summer with the option to extend an extra year at the end of the short term contract.

The former West ham United man told MK Dons Player: “The support I had last year was fantastic, not only for me personally but for the team as well.

“The fans seem to like me so I must have done something right last season! Hopefully they will continue to like me. I feel last year was only a small insight into what I can offer.”

He went on to say: “I’m ready to get started straight away. I’m fully fit in the sense of no niggles, no issues. I’ve had a bit of a bity summer but I’m here to play and I’ll be throwing my hat into the ring as soon as that is possible.”

Despite impressing at the Stadium:MK last term, Spence is still well aware of his need to fight for his place in the team.

He said: “I’m coming in on the back of some good results so far – I’m here to push those that are already here and make this is a better team. If I can do that then it will bode well for everyone.”
