West Brom plotting move for Dinamo Zagreb forward Mislav Orsic

West Bromwich Albion are plotting an ambitious move for Dinamo Zagreb forward Mislav Orsic as reported by Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti.

Despite Albion still being seven points clear of third and occupying top spot in the Championship, five games without a win has highlighted further the need for reinforcements for Slaven Bilic’s side this transfer window.

Charlie Austin, Kenneth Zohore and Hal Robson-Kanu are the three senior strikers at the Baggies disposal but none have been prolific with any of them yet to hit double figures for the season.

Orsic has been a key player for Dinamo Zagreb this season scoring 11 goals in 13 league games and he also hit four in the Champions League group stages including a hat-trick against Atlanta.

Albion could be willing to offer around €10million for the forward in a bid to entice him to the Hawthorns although Zagreb will be reluctant to lose one of their key players.

Should West Brom decide to pursue Orsic it would send out a real message of intent to the rest of the division with him having proven himself both domestically and in Europe for Zagreb.

The versatile forward can cover numerous attacking positions and would thrive in the attacking style that Bilic prefers to play and Orsic could prove to be the difference in the race for automatic promotion this campaign.

Orsic has also won caps for Croatia at both youth level and full international level, another attribute that will appeal to Bilic and West Brom.
