Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Will Buckely has completed his move to Sunderland by signing a three-year deal, according to the Daily Star.

The former Watford and Rochdale winger has joined former Gulls manager Gus Poyet’s Premier League side for a fee believed to be around £2.5 million, over double what Brighton paid the Hornets back in 2011. Buckley scored 19 goals in 95 appearances whilst in East Sussex, including a double in the first game hosted by the Amex Stadium.

Brighton chairman Tony Bloom told the newspaper: “Will gave us some great moments during his time with the club and I would like to thank him for his efforts in his time with us and wish him well for the future”
