Middlesbrough FC have today confirmed that Adam Clayton has joined them on a four-year deal, from Huddersfield Town.

The deal has been eagerly anticipated for the last few weeks, but has today been confirmed. On their official Twitter account, Boro Tweeted:

Speaking to the club’s official website, Boro head-coach, Aitor Karanka, said,

“Adam is another player who will improve our squad and I’m delighted to welcome him to Boro. He is a strong player and a strong character and just the sort of person I want in my squad.”

In his professional career, Clayton has made 197 appearances in all competions, 94 of them coming with Huddersfield Town. The 25 year old has scored 21 goals in all appearances, scoring 12 with the West Yorkshire side (Source: TransferMarkt)
