6 FL Teams That Stood Out This Weekend

The Championship

Vydra & Deeney

One of the best performances of the weekend came from Vicarage Road, and from the home team Watford. The Hornets have reunited their strike force from two seasons ago, and both strikers duly delivered. Troy Deeney opened the scoring after 17 minutes, Matej Vydra doubled Watford’s lead 6 minutes later. A second half goal from Fernando Forestieri rounded off what was a very impressive performance from a Watford side who no doubt believe they have a chance of pushing for the playoffs.

Callum Wilson

The best performance came from The Cherries. Bournemouth thumped four past a lackluster Huddersfield side, in which proved a disappointing day for those supporting Yorkshire teams. It only took 26 seconds for Marc Pugh to give Bournemouth the lead at the John Smith’s Stadium. Callum Wilson bagged himself a debut brace either side of a goal from former Charlton striker Yann Kermorgant. It could’ve been worse for Huddersfield however as Alex Smithies did save some blushes after saving a penalty, preventing Callum Wilson from getting a debut hat-trick.
