Everton plotting swoop for Bolton Wanderers duo

Everton are interested in Bolton Wanderers duo Ronan Darcy and Dennis Politic.

The Premier League side are eager to bolster their youth ranks and have identified the Trotters’ youngsters as potential signings, as per a report by Football Insider.

Both Darcy and Politic have become first team regulars for Bolton this season in League One.

Darcy, who is 18 years-old, has made eight appearances in all competitions so far in this campaign for Keith Hill’s side.

The Ormskirk-born forward is a product of the Trotters’ academy having risen up through the youth ranks of the North-West side. He made his first team debut in May in a Championship fixture against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Politic has also benefitted from Bolton’s financial woes in terms of breaking into the senior side. The 19-year-old has played 11 times in all competitions this term and has chipped in with two goals.

The Romanian youth international started his career as a youngster at SR Brașov before joining Manchester United’s academy in 2012.

Politic left the Red Devils last year and subsequently signed his first professional contract with Bolton. He gained his first taste of first team football out on loan at Salford City last season.

Both Darcy and Politic have stepped up to the plate for Hill’s side under difficult circumstances and are now key assets for Bolton. The fact that Everton are being linked is a credit to the work both of them have done this season.
