Portsmouth, Bolton Wanderers and Fleetwood Town linked with ex-West Brom and Norwich City man

According to a report from the Express – as cited by HITC Sport – League One trio Portsmouth, Bolton Wanderers and Fleetwood Town could all move for midfielder Graham Dorrans, who is available on a free transfer after his departure from Rangers.

On transfer deadline day, Scottish Premiership side Rangers confirmed that midfielder Graham Dorrans’ contract at Ibrox was terminated by mutual consent, allowing him to become a free agent and look for a new club outside of the transfer window.

It has been said that fellow Scottish side Kilmarnock had been hoping to complete a deal but were unable to due to the fact they will not be able to play his wages. Now, it has been claimed that League One trio Portsmouth, Bolton Wanderers and Fleetwood Town could look to bring Dorrans in.

Portsmouth were rumoured to be interested in adding another midfielder to their ranks, while Bolton Wanderers will be on the lookout for free agents as they look to further bolster their squad after signing nine players on deadline day. Fleetwood Town could too look to move, with Joey Barton said keen on the former Rangers man.

Dorrans comes with plenty of Premier League and Football League experience and would be an impressive coup for a League One side. After spending the early stages of his career in his home country of Scotland with the likes of Livingston and Partick Thistle (loan), the midfielder joined West Brom in 2008.

He went on to play 189 times for the Baggies (26 goals and 32 assists) and went on to play for Norwich City (67 appearances, seven goals and three assists) and Rangers (23 appearances, five goals and four assists) after.
