Fulham loan man already keen on permanent move to Craven Cottage – if they win promotion

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Fulham midfielder Harry Arter has said that he has said he wants to spend the next few years at Craven Cottage, but admits he is desperate to return to the Premier League.

Since Bournemouth’s promotion to the Premier League, Harry Arter has maintained a place in Eddie Howe’s first-team plans, with the midfielder proving that he is of Premier League pedigree after rising up the Football League ladder.

After falling down the pecking order somewhat last summer, Arter made a loan move to Cardiff City and upon his return to the club this summer, he was sent out on loan again. He has linked up with Scott Parker in the Championship with Fulham, making the step down from the Premier League.

And, speaking to the Evening Standard, Arter has now said that he is keen to make a permanent move to Fulham at the end of his loan spell, but a big factor that could stand in the Cottagers’ way of completing a deal is whether or not they can bounce back to the Premier League.

“I don’t know what people think the deal is, but for me, the only way that I can definitely stay next year is if we get promoted.

“So I am desperate to go up, for me personally of course because I want to spend the next few years here. So promotion and staying is definitely in my mind of course.

“I’ve settled in really well. I’ve been coming to watch Fulham for the last five or six years so I kind of felt like a part of the club before I even joined. So that side of things has been easy.”
