Doncaster Rovers in talks with Aston Villa over loan deal for promising youngster

According to a report from Football Insider, Doncaster Rovers are in talks with Premier League side Aston Villa over a loan deal for 21-year-old midfielder Callum O’Hare, who is set to make a loan move away before the end of the month.

The arrivals of the likes of Marvelous Nakamba and Douglas Luiz will have only knocked young midfielder Callum O’Hare further down the pecking order at Villa Park. And, with Aston Villa taking this into consideration, he could be set for another loan move away from the club.

It has been reported by Football Insider that Doncaster Rovers are in talks over a loan deal for O’Hare with the Villans, as Darren Moore looks to further bolster his squad before the window ends. Last season, Liverpool’s Herbie Kane starred in Donny’s midfield, so the club will be hoping O’Hare can come in and have a similar impact.

A number of clubs from League One and League Two are said to have enquired about the availability of O’Hare on loan this summer, with Carlisle United boss Steven Pressley saying earlier this summer that he was open to bringing him back on loan after a successful stint last season.

O’Hare has played nine times for the Villa first-team but has found most of his game time coming for the club’s Under-23s. He has played 61 times for the club’s second string, scoring 15 and assisting 11. During his stint with Carlisle last season, O’Hare played in 16 matches, scoring three and assisting three in the process.
