Norwich striker joins Saint-Etienne on loan

Norwich City have confirmed that striker, Ricky Van Wolfswinkel, has joined French club Saint-Etienne on a season-long loan.

The Club Tweeted:

Van Wolfswinkel’s move has been anticipated for a while now but has now been confirmed.

In a statement released by the club, Norwich say that the striker will link up with his new loan club with immediate effect.

Canaries’ manager, Neil Adams, said,

“I can’t speak highly enough about how professional Ricky has been even though he had a difficult first season at the Club.”

Adams went on to say,

“His attitude has been first class, and this move represents an opportunity for him to play regularly and get back to scoring goals in the way he has done in the past. We wish him the best of luck.”

Van Wolfswinkel has been considered a bit of a flop for Norwich. In his 27 appearances for the club, he only scored once.
