Matty Fryatt – Nottingham Forest
Stuart Pearce really looks to have pulled it out the bag with the signing of Matty Fryatt on a free transfer. Fryatt has always been potent whenever he has played at Championship level and he could be the players to fire Nottingham Forest to the play-offs. At 28 Fryatt has experience but plenty of years ahead of him and with more than 100 career league goals to his name he is a brilliant player for any club to have at this level. Fryatt netted four goals in nine appearances during a loan spell for Sheffield Wednesday last season and helped Hull City to an FA Cup final appearance with goals against Southend, Sunderland and Sheffield United. If Fryatt can grab the goals which sets Forest up for a successful season, his arrival at the City Ground could well be looked at as one of the signings of the summer, particularly given that is cost the club nothing in the way of a transfer fee.
