Hull City winger star in Turkish club link – two others interested

According to Polish media source Sport.PL, Hull City’s Kamil Grosicki is wanted by Turkish Super Lig side Istanbul Başakşehir.

The 66-cap, 12-goal Polish international has been at the KCOM Stadium since signing for the Tigers at the end of January 2017 from French side Stade Rennais.

He joined the East Yorkshire outfit on a deal thought to be worth in the region of £8million. Since signing for City, he’s gone on to make 93 appearances across all competitions, scoring 18 goals and adding a further 23 assists.

This campaign just gone, the Szczecin-born 30-year-old has been one of the forces behind Hull’s improving form. He featured in 39 of their 46-game season and returned nine goals and 12 assists.

His contract is due to expire next year, with City having the option of a further year’s extension. Sport.PL say that there are three options that Grosicki has at his disposal: a transfer to the Premier League and staying in England, stay at Hull City, explore interest away from English football.

Sport.PL admit that there is no rush from Grosicki to leave, and that he hasn’t approached the Tigers to do so. However, what is of interest is the interest from abroad. They say that “according to our information” Grosicki is still a player that French football hasn’t forgotten about, citing winter interest from AS Monaco.

They go on to add that there is interest from a Serie A club, before citing interest from second-placed Istanbul Başakşehir. This is a club that boasts aging, yet still talented, forwards in Brazilian Robinho, Senegalese Demba Ba and Togolese Emanuel Adabayor.

With Hull City likely to be looking to cut their cloth differently next season, Kamil Grosicki could very well be one of those the club look to profit from.
