The Spaniard has been performing strongly for Motherwell in 2019 and with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, a number of clubs are reportedly weighing up a move. Blackburn, Wigan and Millwall are all also interested in the midfielder, the Daily Record claimed last week.
Gorrin burst into Well’s starting eleven during December and has held his own in the midfield ever since. He has been a driving force behind the club’s upturn in form since the New Year and Motherwell are keen for him to pen a new deal.
But, with his deal at Fir Park expiring at the end of the season, clubs are free to approach him with contract offers outside of the transfer window.
Gorrin spent the majority of his youth career playing for League One side Sunderland, but he didn’t make a single appearance for the first team. He then went on to spend three years with Wellington Phoenix from 2014 to 2017 before joining Portuguese outfit Boavista, where he made no appearances.
He spent a short spell with Romanian club Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe before making the move to Scotland to link up with Motherwell in June 2018. With a number of sides interested, the midfielder’s time with the club could come to an end just a year after his arrival.
