6 reasons for Middlesbrough fans to be optimistic this season

Albert Adomah has remained at the Riverside…

Middlesbrough’s World Cup representative and probably their deadliest midfielder, Adomah has the potential to be one of the Championship’s best this coming season. This week Middlesbrough brushed aside a reported £3 million offer from Nottingham Forest showing they are refusing to be held to ransom for their finest talents. This is a significantly promising sign considering the economic situation at the Riverside. It has been reported that Steve Gibson, the chairman, continues to make a loss on the football club and could have been expected to cash in on Adomah’s talents.

Instead, Middlesbrough go into the season with one of the trickiest wingers in the league. Having patched up his prior discrepancies with manager Aitor Karanka, Adomah should be chomping at the bit for the season to commence.
