2. Chris Basham (Midfielder)
Chris Basham, another new signing, could also have a very positive impact for the Blades. After seeing him play in a couple of friendly games, Basham could be a shining light in the 2014/15 campaign.
In his career, he has never played in League One, however, he has made 83 appearances in the Championship, alongside 21 in the Premier League (Source: TransferMarkt). His higher league experience could prove vital for the South Yorkshire side as they look to leave League One this season after a couple of poor seasons in the third division.
I think that Basham’s higher league experience could greatly benefit the Blades. I also think that he will be able to pull the midfield strings; knitting together the Blades’ middle area.
