Derby County recently signed their top summer target George Thorne. The midfielder had been on loan at Derby from Midlands rivals West Brom last season, after protracted negotiations. There was a great sense of accomplishment around the signing and it seemed to engulf everyone around the Pride Park club. However, Thorne quickly got injured and will now be out for around 9 months due to the severity of the ACL injury.
