Sheffield Wednesday in talks to sign promotion winning Premier League attacker

The Sheffield Star have revealed that Championship side Sheffield Wednesday are in talks to sign Fulham attacker Neeskens Kebano on loan for the rest of the season.

Sheffield Wednesday are in talks with Premier League side Fulham over a loan move for attacker Neeskens Kebano, the Sheffield Star are reporting.

Kebano has fallen down the pecking order at Craven Cottage upon their promotion to the Premier League, playing just three times in the league throughout the first half of the campaign. Overall, the former Paris Saint-Germain forward has made five appearances in all competitions, but he may not play any more games for the Cottagers this season with a move to Sheffield Wednesday in the works.

Kebano started his career playing for local side ASA Montereau over a ten-year spell, before moving to French giants Paris Saint-Germain. The DR Congo international played for PSG nine times, featuring in the Europa League four times during his time with Les Parisiens from 2006 to 2013.

After a loan spell with Caen in the 2012/13 season, Kebano joined Belgian side Charleroi, where he enjoyed the most prolific spell in his career to date. In 72 games for the Belgian club, he scored 23 goals in 72 games, picking up 14 assists as well.

In 2015, the 26-year-old moved to fellow Belgian side KRC Genk, where he spent little over one season. Kebano played 46 games and scored nine goals and provided six assists. After a spell with Genk, the attacker moved to then Championship side Fulham.

Kebano has played 66 times for Fulham, helping them win promotion to the Premier League last season. He has scored 9 goals in his time at Craven Cottage. The attacker has made 54 Championship appearances and could provide some attacking nouse to Sheffield Wednesday.
