Ex-Fulham man to join up with Palace or Tigers?

Crystal palace have been slashed down to 11/10 odds with Sky Bet to capture the signature of ex Fulham defender Brede Hangeland.

The centre-back made an array of appearances for Fulham before being booted out in the summer by new manager Felix Magath. This prompted Hangeland to air his disappointment on Sky Sports at the London clubs decision to kick him out of Craven Cottage where he slammed Magath to the media after a six-year stint with club in which he made 214 appearances.

The big defender who stands up at 6ft 6 and a 1/2 inches would be an ideal addition to the Palace back four. His aerial ability and leadership qualities are all welcome attributes for a defender to posses and with palace lacking that real leader and motivator, Hangeland would be an ideal signing for Palace. The London club are looking to build upon a season of solidarity with a much better start this season after last seasons poor unpredictable start.

Since Tony Pulis took over, the fans of Palace have enjoyed a much more stable campaign, one of defensive ruthlessness and a sense of complacency around the place rather than panic at the back. With goals coming at the others end, the club are really beginning what seems to be a strong side clearly capable of holding their own against the biggest of clubs.

With Hull in for the former Fulham captain who is currently unattached, it could become a race to see who can sign him and offer him the best reasons as to why he should join.
