Mathias Pogba set for move to Pescara

Mathias Pogba is expected to be unveiled at Serie B side Pescara in the next 24 hours as reported by the Crewe Chronicle.

Guinea International Pogba who has contributed 21 goals in 63 appearances for the Railwaymen over the two seasons he has spend with the club, is now on the brink of competing in the same country as his brother Paul, who transferred to Serie A side Juventus from Manchester United back in 2012.

The 23-year-old was left out of the squad who played Wolves on Saturday with Steve Davis confirming he had been left out due to interest from another club.

Pogba is in the final year of his contract at Crewe after being signed from Wrexham in 2012 for around £30K.

Davis has stated that the club will be set to make a healthy profit from the sale of Pogba but insisted that the timing of the agreement was not the best for his preparations.

“”The situation is that he was not played today because there’s been interest from another club. When that happens you can’t risk them as if they were to get injured it scuppers them moving anywhere.

“We are in discussions with Mathias but it’s difficult to comment at the moment as nothing has been finalised.” ~ Davies told the official website

With the move coming so close to the start of the 2015/2015 season many supporters are likely to be worried that the fan favourite is being sold which leaves them short of fire power up front.
