Aston Villa midfielder Henri Lansbury could leave them in January, according to Birmingham Live. Here are five clubs who should sign him-
Blackburn Rovers- Tony Mowbray’s side have made a decent start to life back in the Championship this season and are just two points off the Play-Offs as it stands. Lansbury would slot in nicely into their midfield and help their potential promotion charge.
Nottingham Forest- Could he return to his former employers? Lansbury spent four-and-a-half seasons with Forest in the Championship before joining Aston Villa. He played 150 games for the Reds in all competitions and was a popular player at the City Ground.
Hull City- The Tigers are in currently in the relegation zone and in need of a few more players in the January transfer market. Lansbury would be guaranteed first-team action at the KCOM Stadium and would help lift Nigel Adkins’ side up the table.
QPR- The London side have turned their season around after a poor start under Steve McClaren. They are now just two points off the Play-Offs and Lansbury would be an ideal signing for them in January as he would provide depth and options to their midfield.
Reading- It has been a difficult past couple of seasons for the Royals since their Play-Off final defeat to Huddersfield Town in 2017. They are now 20th in the league. Lansbury would be a good signing for them this season as his experience in the middle of the park would help them rise up the table and out of trouble.
