Peter Clarke has joined Blackpool as well and joins Tomasz Cywka and Jacob Mellis in signing for the club. Clarke played for the club back in 2004 through to 2006 before leaving for Southend United in which he spent three years at Roots Hall.

Blackpool now have 11 players contracted to the club but still need to sign a goalkeeper for the club.

Clarke, Huddersfield’s former captain was a free agent after he was released at the end of the season and now joins the club to mean they are guarenteed a substitute for this season providing nobody else leaves.

The defender made 192 appearances for Huddersfield in which he scored nine goals as well as 126 appearances for Southend United and 84 appearances in a previous stint with Blackpool in which he managed 11 goals in the two seasons he was at Bloomfield road between 2004 and 2006.

The clubs third signing of the day was originally revealed over twitter in a rather ambiguous fashion before being confirmed as Peter Clarke, see below how it was revealed.
