Barnsley face Luton Town tomorrow lunchtime at Oakwell and will be looking to carry on their impressive form in League One.

The Tykes have started off life back in the third tier well after their relegation from the Championship last season and look a good bet for an immediate return.

They turned to former Hannover manager Daniel Stendel in the summer and the German boss has got them playing an attractive and attacking style of football.

Barnsley will be looking to further boost their promotion push with a win over Luton tomorrow and build on their impressive 4-0 away win against Peterborough United last week. They are currently 4th in the league and five points off Portsmouth at the top with a game in hand.

The Yorkshire side will be without goalkeeper Adam Davies and defender Kenny Dougall, who are on international duty with Wales and Australia respectively. Their top scorer Kieffer Moore is also a doubt after suffering with ankle ligament damage last Saturday. Daniel Pinillos, Zeki Fryers and Lloyd Isgrove are all out with injuries.

Luton Town travel to Barnsley tomorrow looking to push on into the Play-Offs. Nathan Jones’ side have adapted well to League One after their promotion last season. The Hatters are 8th in the table and two points off the Play-Offs.

Luton have Danny Hylton back in contention tomorrow whilst Elliot Lee will have a late review by their fitness team. Lee Berry and Lloyd Jones remain side-lined.

Prediction

Luton are no pushovers and will be up there this season in League One. Barnsley are looking strong though and will be a tough test for the Hatters, especially at Oakwell. I think the Tykes’ quality will shine through in the end and Stendel’s side will get the three points and increase the pressure on Portsmouth, Peterborough and Sunderland above them. 2-1, Cauley Woodrow and Alex Mowatt to score for Barnsley, Hylton for Luton.
