Twitter reacts to Adam Reach’s goal for Sheffield Wednesday against Leeds United

Sheffield Wednesday’s Adam Reach scored a goal of the season contender for his side against Leeds United last night.

The winger brought down a flick on by Steven Fletcher and struck a 30 yard volley that looped over Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell and into the net of the post.

The goal meant the Owls went into half-time 1-0 up but Leeds were able to level it up in the second-half through an impressive strike by midfielder Mateusz Kilch which curled out of the reach of Cameron Dawson.

Reach’s goal will take some beating in the Championship this season. He is always capable of creating something special for Sheffield Wednesday with his left foot and their fans have seen him do it before.

The 25-year-old joined the club in 2016 from fellow second tier side Middlesbrough for a fee in the region of £5 million and has been a hit at Hillsborough. He started his career at Boro and went onto play 78 games for their first-team as well as enjoying loan spells at the likes of Darlington, Shrewsbury Town, Bradford City and Preston North End as a youngster.
