Leeds United, Derby County and Aston Villa eye up non-League midfielder

Championship trio Leeds United, Derby County and Aston Villa are all keeping tabs on Kiddiminster Harriers midfielder Ed Williams, according to The Non-League Football Paper.

Harriers midfielder Ed Williams has made an impressive start to the National League North season, and has been scouted by Leeds United, Derby County and Ipswich Town.

The attacking midfielder only joined Kiddiminster Harriers this summer, joining from Gloucester City. He made over 80 appearances for Gloucester in his three year spell at the Jubilee Stadium, scoring nine goals along the way.

The former Cheltenham Town midfielder has most recently been called up to the England C team for their match against Estonia’s U23 side at Leyton Orient’s Brisbane Road.

Williams has made seven appearances so far, scoring an impressive six goals along the way helping The Harriers climb to 2nd in the table, losing just once in their first 10 games.

Ipswich Town are also reportedly looking at the 23-year-old, with Paul Hurst keen to continue his rebuild of the Tractor Boys.
