After a year of Boro scouts trailing  Husband the highly-rated 20-year-old joins Aitor Karanka’s side for a fee of in the region of £500k.

According to the Gazette Live, the Teessiders have agreed a fee with South Yorkshire outfit Doncaster Rovers to bring the defender to the Riverside Stadium.

The 20-year-old had played for Doncaster 64 times despite his age which is why he was linked with a move to Premiership outfit Hull City.

However after all the speculation it was Boro who have won the race for the highly-rated defender, who will now be joining the squad next week.

Husband has now become Boro’s third addition of this current transfer window following the likes of Tomas Mejais and Kike to the North East Club.
