Five free agents who Championship clubs should sign

There is still the opportunity for Championship clubs to strengthen their squads by delving into the free agent market. Here are five players who are available-

Didier N’Dong- He has recently left League One side Sunderland and is a free agent. The 24-year-old central midfielder joined the Black Cats for £13.6 million but his time at the Stadium of Light soon turned sour. He spent the latter half of last season on loan at Watford and needs to get his career back on track.

Karim Ansarifard- The Iranian international was at the World Cup in Russia over the summer and is still weighing up his options after leaving Olympiakos in May. He has been linked with Nottingham Forest over the past couple of months but a move has not materialised.

Robert Huth- The 34-year-old is a good option for Championship sides looking to tighten up their defence. The former Chelsea, Middlesbrough, Stoke City and Leicester City defender has bags of experience in the English game.

Jan Kirchoff- His career has been plagued with injuries but he would be worth a gamble. The ex-Sunderland and Bolton Wanderers man is versatile so would offer a second tier side more depth ad options in their squad.

James Collins- The Wales international has been training with Ipswich Town and has also been linked with a  return to Aston Villa. He is a solid defender and would be a shrewd acquisition for a Championship side. The 35-year-old has racked up over 400 appearances in his career.
