Five free agent strikers who Championship clubs can still sign

There is still the option for Championship clubs to improve their squads by signing free agents. Here are five strikers who are available-

Jerry Mbakogu- He was heavily linked with a move to Leeds United in January and was released by Italian side Carpi in August. The Nigerian striker scored 28 goals in 92 games for them in Serie B and is an option for Championship clubs.

Gabby Agbonlahor- The experienced forward ended his 17-year association with Aston Villa when he left them in May. He played 391 games for his home-town club but is now weighing up the next chapter of his career. Agbonlahor is only 31 years-old and could still do a job in the Championship.

Victor Anichebe- He has been spotted at a few Championship fixtures over recent weeks which have fuelled rumours that he could be on his way back to England. The Nigerian striker has previously played for Everton, West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland and Beijing Enterprises.

Karim Ansarifard- The Iranian international was at the World Cup in Russia this summer and has recently been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest. He scored 17 goals for Olympiakos last season but is currently looking for a new club. The 28-year-old has previously played for the likes of Saipa, Osasuna and Panionios.

Márkó Futács- The former Leicester City striker is available for a return to England. He scored 20 goals last season for Croatian giants Hadjuk Split but is a free agent now. The 6ft 5inc man would be a handful in the Championship and would be worth a gamble.
