Pink dressing room and Pukki? Please! Pontus at the back, Pablo in attack, Kalvin Phillips is all you need

Catchy that, isn’t it? Well perhaps not but I enjoyed it all the same. The talk before the game was of pink dressing rooms and Teemu Pukki from Norwich City fans, but in reality they couldn’t compete for the majority of the game today. Leeds had more than a few that excelled, Marcelo Bielsa will have enjoyed this.

For me this was the best performance of the season. It beats the Derby and Stoke City games because of the manner in which we did it. A trip to Swansea in med-week, the toughest yet was gruelling and the same team bar one player turned up in Norwich and after riding out what was at best a decent Norwich start they just went through the gears. Pablo Hernandez orchestrated the attacks, Pontus Jansson dominated at the back and Kalvin Phillips responded in sublime fashion after Tuesday.

Every time Leeds went forward we looked like scoring. Klich and Phillips ran the midfield and Samu Saiz, not having the best of games was causing havoc without actually creating much. Pablo Hernandez was taking advantage of the fact Norwich were throwing bodies into the marking, or attempted marking of Saiz and was just all over, and Kemar Roofe was bullying Grant Hanley.

If that wasn’t enough Barry Douglas and Luke Ayling were bombing up and down the flanks without any hint of anyone stopping them and Marcelo Bielsa was sat on his bucket, not worrying as his side picked Norwich off. The most frustrated he got was the last twenty minutes because we took our foot off the gas. We could have had more, we actually let Norwich off the hook at the end.

Norwich City painting the away dressing room pink is farcical, it reminds me of something Leeds would have done during the banter years. Nothing good will come of that at all, only everyone taking the biscuit. It seems there is some concerning things going on at that football club and they remind me of a Leeds United in 2014 under Massimo Cellino. Cost-cutting signings from abroad and we know that it simply doesn’t work.

Leeds United, playing Bielsaball all over the country and looking like a United Leeds, once again.
