Two goals in two first-half minutes earned Oldham three points against Morecambe at the Globe Arena, extending their unbeaten run to four games and leaves Latics 8th in League Two.
Frankie Bunn’s starting eleven consisted of Iversen, Hunt, Edmundson, Clarke ©, Taylor, Branger-Engone, Gardner, Missilou, Nepomuceno, Baxter, O’Grady.
Chris O’Grady and Gevaro Nepomuceno provided the finishing touches for the visitors to beat a Morecambe side who dominated for long periods but could not find a way past Daniel Iversen in the Latics goal.

Morecambe had the first chance following a quick free kick that caught Latics by surprise, but Rhys Oates could only find the side netting.
The game suddenly came to life after Latics scored two goals in as many minutes through striker Chris O’Grady and winger Gevaro Nepomuceno.
Morecambe couldn’t defend a Rob Hunt ball in from the right and O’Grady volleyed home past Mark Halstead in the hosts’ goal.
The same build from Oldham worked a minute later as Hunt’s ball was headed up into the air by Zak Mills and Nepomuceno reacted quickest to smash it into the net.

Latics and Frankie Bunn were thankful for the form of Daniel Iversen in goal, making a numerous of spectacular saves.
Zak Mills came close with a shot after a superb run and Iversen saved well from Mandeville, AJ Leitch-Smith and captain Aaron Wildig as Morecambe failed turn pressure into goals.
Latics nearly had a third when an Andy Taylor freekick whipped in from the right caused a goalmouth scramble, but somehow it ended up cleared away when it looked set to be a goal.
Late on, the ball came in from the left onto the head of substitute Kevin Ellison about two yards out and Iversen somehow manged to tip it away low to his right to the astonishment of the Morecambe fans.

Our performance wasn’t the best but very professional! Iversen when called upon very good! Two great finishes and 3 points!
A Latics fan ‘we’ve only won at Morecambe’ – that’s where we are at! 8 points from 15 and not doing too bad!
Well done! Have a great weekend!
