In amongst the celebration of the West Bromwich Albion and Bristol City fans and staff from victories over QPR last Saturday and Tuesday respectively, it’s probably fair to spare a thought for one QPR fan in particular.

Finnish Hoops fan Antii Korpela had travelled from Finland to the UK last Friday, with the intentions of watching his beloved Queens Park Rangers take battle against West Bromwich Albion and Bristol City with two games over the span of four days.
As many will likely know, it’s probably not possible to have chosen two worse games to have gone to from a QPR perspective, with their away trip to the Hawthorns starting promisingly – the scores locked at 1-1 at half time – though managing to concede six goals in the second half to lose 7-1 the West Midlands side. Looking to bounce-back just four days later, struggling Bristol City came to Loftus Road in search of their first win of the season in all competitions after suffering back-to-back defeats without scoring a goal in their last two games, including a surprise 1-0 home defeat to Plymouth in the EFL Cup the previous week.
City won 3-0 to cement QPR fan Korpela a holiday from hell as he travelled back to Finland the next day. He travelled a grand total of 1,208 miles to see his beloved side register an aggregate defeat of 10-1 against QPR.
The committed fan had later revealed on Twitter that the aggregate score of the last three QPR fixtures to have seen is an unfortunate 15-3 in favour of the opposition – probably should wait a while before travelling to see them again, mate.
