Everton duo loan to Middlesbrough expected ‘in the next few days’

The Northern Echo believes that Middlesbrough could confirm the loan signings of Everton duo Mo Besic and Yannock Bolasie ‘in the new few days’. The pair have been seen at the Boro training ground over the last few days, as they look to seal moves to the North East side, which would likely become permanent eventually.

The powers that be at the Riverside Stadium are still crossing the i’s and dotting the t’s to get the deals across the line in time for the weekend. Middlesbrough are next back in action on Friday night when West Bromwich Albion are the visitors. It appears unlikely that either player will be available to play in this game, although it is not ruled out.

Manager Tony Pulis has expressed the need to add fresh faces to his group, despite a positive start to the new campaign, sitting top of the table at the time of writing. Big players Ben Gibson and Adama Traore moved on to Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively, and have not been replaced.

The addition of Bolasie would be an exceptional coup by the Sky Bet Championship club based on the fact Everton paid a very handsome some not that long ago when signing up the player from Crystal Palace. However, new boss Marco Silva is happy for him to depart, whilst Besic has been fairly low down the pecking order at Goodison Park for some time.

Aston Villa remain keen on Bolasie but Boro are said to be in a position to offer a ‘more attractive financial proposition’. He also worked with Pulis together at Palace, and is keen on resuming that relationship too.
