Sheffield United are trying to sign Scott Hogan on loan from Aston Villa, as reported by The72 earlier today.
The Blades are looking to further boost their squad ahead of the end of the loan window at the end of August.
Scott Hogan has been on their radar throughout this transfer window and their manager, Chris Wilder, is believed to be a big fan of the 26-year-old.
Sheffield United have shown some ambition this summer in the signings they have made and will be looking to be in and around the top six in the Championship this season.
Wilder has signed highly-rated goalkeeper Dean Henderson from Manchester United on loan, experienced striker David McGoldrick on a free transfer, John Egan from Brentford, Ben Woodburn from Liverpool and Oliver Norwood from Brighton and Hove Albion.
They are now in the hunt for another forward to further bolster their attacking prowess. The Blades have also been linked with Southampton striker Sam Gallagher, but now look to have set their sights on getting a deal done for Hogan.
It is exciting times to be a Sheffield United fan right now and here is how their fans have reacted to news on Twitter that they are trying to bring Scott Hogan to Bramall Lane-
