Leeds United and Rotherham fans comment ahead of game

In around five hours or so Leeds United will turn out against Rotherham aiming to make it a perfect four-from-four with a third consecutive league victory.

A packed to the rafters Elland Road, all tickets now sold, will see the Whites take on their South Yorkshire neighbours. Leeds fans will be hoping that the Whites can extend the opening run of impressive league displays that have already seen Stoke City (3-1) and Derby County (4-1) put to the sword – the Whites yet to concede from open play.

Marcelo Bielsa’s brand of football has definitely caught the imagination of Leeds United fans, this is evident in the way fans are flocking to watch. The high intensity pressing by the Whites, the constant harrying of opponents into mistakes, the fluidity of the attacking play, all this has gone down well with fans starved of attractive football at times.

On paper, Rotherham shouldn’t provide the level of competition that both Stoke and Derby brought to the table. Stoke were a relegated Premier League side, Derby a side pushing for promotion – Rotherham were promoted from League One last season after being relegated following a sorry Championship campaign the season before.

However, the methodical nature of Bielsa will not crack and allow overconfidence from Leeds United. Bielsa, who has already said that he will start the Stoke/Derby line-ups, will have the Whites prepared and a strategy in place for a Rotherham side who’ll pose a different threat than their previous two opponents.

With the game hours away, here’s what some Leeds United and Rotherham fans are saying over on Twitter:

To sum up, it seems that some Leeds fans are confident that their side can emerge victorious, whilst Rotherham fans are just hoping their side don’t get a spanking.
