Premier League strikers such as Tammy Abraham, Isaac Success and Shane Long are targets for Aston Villa, according to the Express and Star.
The Championship side are keen to bring in a forward or two in on loan before the loan window shuts at the end of August.
Chelsea Tammy Abraham is high on their list of targets. The 20-year-old, who has played 3 times for Chelsea’s first-team so far in his career, scored 26 goals the last time he played in the Championship on loan with Bristol City in the 2016/17 season.
He then spent the last campaign on loan in the Premier League with Swansea City and bagged 8 goals for them in all competitions.
Another striker on Aston Villa’s radar is Watford’s Isaac Success. The Nigerian international has fallen down the pecking order at the Hornets and could leave them again on loan this month after spending the latter half of last season on loan in La Liga with Malaga.
Success’ time in England has not gone to plan and he needs to get an opportunity to prove what he can do. Therefore, a move to the second tier would be ideal for him.
The experienced Shane Long of Southampton is the final striker on Aston Villa’s list of transfer targets. He worked with the current Villa boss Steve Bruce at Hull City. The 31-year-old is not a prolific striker and has only scored 27 goals in 152 games for Southampton but he does a lot for the team.
Long would be a very shrewd signing by Villa but it is unlikely that the Saints would let him leave.
