Bristol City fans were disappointed that they were not able to get the win even though they came two behind to draw 2-2 with Bolton Wanderers.
The Robins started their season last week as they drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest though they will have thought they could have won the game as they were leading. Bolton however surprised many last week as they beat the recently relegated and promotion favourite West Bromwich Albion 2-1 last week.
And for a while, it seemed like Bolton were going to follow up that win against West Brom with another victory. After a goalless first half, the Lancashire side were able to race to a 2-0 lead when Will Buckley first chested the ball across the line before Josh Magennis followed up last week’s strike with another goal. But this time, they were unable to stop a comeback. First, Andreas Weimann was able to find space to finish and then the equaliser was scored in the last ten minutes of the match when Jamie Paterson curled the ball into the bottom corner.
For Bristol City fans it was a mixed bag. While they were delighted to come from behind to get something, many lamented that they got into that position against a team that will most likely be fighting against relegation. They were also disappointed with the overall performance during the match even with the late run of goals suggesting that they could have gone on to win the game. For them, it’s about making sure they play better against Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night.
Least our stadium isn’t called that. Always positives.

Doubt the BWFC twitter feed will be quite as chippy as it was back in February.

So we’re supposed to think that’s a good result? We were talking about winning this and we ended up scraping a draw. Not s great start @BristolCity
