West Brom are favourites to sign Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo, according to Football Whispers.
West Brom and Nottingham Forest have been keen to bring in Liverpool youngster Sheyi Ojo for a large part of the summer transfer window, and Aston Villa have joined the race today for Ojo.
Birmingham Live reported that Villa have ‘thrown their hat’ into the mix, with the chase for the winger hotting up as the loan deadline comes closer and closer. West Brom, Forest and Villa will all be keen to get a deal done as soon as possible, as the three look to form a core group as early as possible in the season to help them challenge for promotion to the Premier League.
West Brom have been linked with a permanent move for Ojo, and Liverpool have slapped a £12m price tag on their young prodigy. However, Ojo is keen to stay with a Premier League club so he can test himself at the top. Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are both keen on bringing in Ojo on loan, so they could jump ahead of The Baggies in their pursuit of the winger.
Aston Villa could drop out of the deal if they are successful in their attempts to bring in West Ham’s Robert Snodgrass, who Steve Bruce is keen to reunite with.
Ojo has also been linked with a move back to Fulham, after he had a successful loan spell at Craven Cottage last season. However, Liverpool are keen to send Ojo to the Championship on loan so he can gain some valuable game time to help kick on his development.
