Swansea City fans have been left disappointed after today’s transfer deadline day.
The Swans were hoping to sign a couple of players, including Brentford midfielder Ryan Woods who wanted to join them, but have been left with mainly departures. They will now be heavily reliant on the loan market now, which ends at the end of August, to bring some more players into their squad.
Graham Potter’s side have today lost Federico Fernandez to Newcastle United, Jordan Ayew to Crystal Palace, Sam Clucas to Stoke City and Jordi Amat to Rayo Vallecano.
Swansea did sign left-back Declan John from Rangers but that was their only acquisition today. They are in need of another midfielder to replace Clucas and another striker at the bare minimum, but their fans wanted these on permanent deals today but loans will have to do for them now.
The Welsh side have delved into the transfer market this summer to sign Yann Dhanda, Barrie McKay, Joel Asoro, Bersant Celina and Declan John.
Their fans want some more though and are annoyed after a quiet deadline day today. Here is how their fans have reacted on Twitter-

Must be very difficult being a #swans manager. It must be like being an electrician but the boss will only let you use carpenter’s tools.

Graham Potter will stuggle to be feeling well again by Saturday. Badly let down by the Swansea hierarchy. #DeadlineDay

Shocking transfer deadline day business. Two centre backs sold and no replacement. Players rushed out and sold for peanuts In comparison to what we paid. Was so looking forward to going to the game on Saturday. I Feel for Potter I really do. @SwansOfficial #Swans @JasonLevien

Let's be honest…if Huw Jenkins was in your house he'd be taking pictures of your possessions and flogging them on ebay for cut price. #swans
