Patrick Bamford: a wanted man

The Express & Star are reporting that Championship clubs, Wolves and Derby, are looking to land a deal for Chelsea starlet, Patrick Bamford.

It is understood that Derby County are interested in loaning the 20 year old, who made 21 appearances with the Rams on a previous loan spell last season, scoring 8 goals.

However, it is believed that Wolves manager, Kenny Jackett, is looking to bolster his attacking options in a bid to ensure a good season for the Midlands side.

But Derby and Wolves face stiff competition for the talented youngster’s services, with Premier League clubs such as QPR and Burnley thought to be interested in the Stamford Bridge starlet.

It is also understood that Chelsea want Bamford to play at a level that is Championship or above, in a bid to gain vital experience going forward, after he had a loan spell with League One, MK Dons last season.
