QPR looking to sign Brighton striker

QPR are looking to sign Brighton and Hove Albion’s Tomer Hemed according to a report from The Argus.

The 31-year-old striker, who has been capped 32 times by Israel, started his career in his native country with Maccabai Haifa. He also had a few loan spells at teams such as Maccabai Herzliya, Bnei Yehuda and Maccabai Ahi Nazareth. He’d eventually leave Israel for Spain, first signing for Mallorca before moving onto Almeria. He would move to England and sign for Brighton in 2015.

Hemed has been a key player for the Seagulls since signing for them three years ago and was an important player when they were promoted to the Premier League. But he may struggle to keep his spot in the first team this summer as Brighton look to further establish themselves in the Premier League and so a move away looks likely. This is made more apparent as Hemed only has one year left on his deal and Brighton may want to cash in now rather than lose him on a free next summer.

And QPR are looking to step in to sign him. One potential outgoing at Loftus Road today is Conor Washington with reports linking him to a move to London rivals Millwall and so the R’s will need a new striker. With Hemed being very impressive at this level, they are looking to go in for him so they have a top quality striker for the rest of the season. It could be a tough one to pull off but definitely would be worth it.
