Leeds United eyeing breathtaking move for ex-Man City, Valencia and Sevilla striker

Transfer Deadline Day never fails to disappoint and the newest piece of information beginning to leak, is that Leeds United are reportedly interested in securing a £3m deal with Besiktas for Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo according to European Sources.

Leeds United, Aston Villa and West Brom have reportedly shown an interest in bringing the ex-Manchester City striker to their respective sides before the transfer window closes in just under five hours – which would be one of the most surprising transfer deals to take place, if any form of a deal was to be struck.

Negredo boasts a healthy CV with 188 goals in 480 games in his career across some of Europe’s top divisions including the likes of La Liga and the Premier League, so it seems somewhat bizarre that Leeds United and West Brom are even being linked with the striker.

Negredo is 32 though and currently has 12 months left ot run on his contract at Besiktas, which may suggest that the club are keen to cash in for some value whilst they can, and a deal to sign the striker would only cost around €3m which would be somewhat of a bargain for somebody who has been one of the top strikers in Europe.

Leeds United need to sign a defender or a midfielder in the coming hours, more than they do a striker, but with Marcelo Bielsa’s philosophy being centered around an attack-minded side, it’s more than possible that the Championship outfit could well attempt to bring Negredo in a surprising move to the Championship.
