Premier League side to steal Swansea star

According to Sky News, a move away from the Liberty Stadium is looking imminent for Striker Jordan Ayew, who is set to complete a move to Crystal Palace in the coming hours.

Following reports that the Ghanaian striker was refusing to train with Swansea, it had appeared that the 26-year-old had his heart set on a move to a premier league side, with interest from both Crystal Palace and Fulham. However, in recent updates, it appears that Palace are going to secure a Loan move for the striker who scored 11 goals for Swansea in the 17/18 season.

Ayew has already received bids from Fulham this transfer window in the region of £8 million, however, according to the BBC, his worth could be around £16 million.

It is possible that Hodgson could make Ayew available for the for the teams first game of the season on Saturday against London rivals Fulham, however, the striker will have to perform well to secure his place in the side with other big name strikers in the squad in the shape of Zaha and Benteke.

Swansea manager Graham Potter will be keen to complete the deal for Ayew as early in the day as possible, in order for Swansea to look for potential replacements for the star striker. Ayew will be a big loss for the Swans who’ve recently been relegated into the Championship.

However, with a victory over Sheffield United in their first game back in the Championship, and with a home fixture against Preston North End coming up, hope is not lost to regain promotion into the premier league in the coming season.
