Hull City want to sign some players today as Nigel Adkins looks to bring more bodies into his squad. Here are five players the Tigers could target-

Linked before-

Lee Cattermole- The Tigers have been working on a loan deal for the experienced midfielder from League One side Sunderland. This transfer has until the end of August to be concluded so it likely to drag on past today.

Tom Bradshaw- Hull have been linked with the Wales international throughout this transfer window. He has scored 20 goals in the past two seasons in the Championship for Barnsley. Could Hull make a late move as they look to sign a striker?

Jacob Butterfield- Nigel Adkins wants to sign a central midfielder and Butterfield is a name that has been mentioned. He is out-of-favour at Derby County and become available today on deadline day. He spent last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and appears to not be part of Frank Lampard’s plans at Pride Park.

Who would be ideal-

Craig Forsyth- Another Derby player, the experienced left-back’s first-team chances with the Rams will be limited now after they signed Scott Malone yesterday, therefore, he could become available. Hull need a left-back as back-up/competition for Stephen Kingsley.

Billy Sharp- We did an article yesterday on why the Sheffield United striker would be ideal for Hull. The Tigers need a striker and Sharp is proven at this level. He has also worked with Nigel Adkins at Southampton and Sheffield United in the past.
