Five players that Leeds United could sign on deadline day –
Albert Adomah, Aston Villa – Leeds United have been linked with Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah. The winger is attracting a host of interest and especially interest from Leeds United, Adomah has less than 12 months left on his contract at Aston Villa.
Lukas Nmecha, Manchester City – Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has already used his link with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola with the loan signing of England U21’s international Jack Harrison on a season-long loan deal and maybe he will look to exploit his link again before the transfer window shuts on Thursday at 5pm.
Matthew Pennington, Everton – Leeds United have made it clear they want to sign cover at centre-back and Pennington would be unlikely to arrive as first choice with Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson at the top of head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s pecking order.
Marcus Maddison, Peterborough United – Although a deal is unlikely, the Peterborough United star deserves a chance in the Championship and has been linked with a move many times. The winger has made 148 appearances for The Posh scoring 35 goals. Maddison, who had the most assists in League One last season, and has been a pain to League One defence for a number of years.
Oliver Norwood, Reading – Leeds are believed to in the market for centre-midfield reinforcements with Adam Forshaw currently injured and Ronaldo Vieira having left Elland Road for Sampdoria. Brighton are believed to be willing to sell the Northern Ireland international Norwood for a fee in the region of £1.5million.
