Middlesbrough look set to bring in flurry of Premier League players

According to the Northern Echo, Middlesbrough could be set to bring in a number of Premier League players, with Jordan Hugill seemingly getting the ball rolling for incomings into ‘Boro.

The ex-Preston striker is set to swap West Ham for the Middlesbrough for the forthcoming season, and potentially beyond, but it also seems to be the case that Boro are going to bring in several players from Everton with Mo Besic and Yannick Bolasie looking set to make the move up North.

Middlesbrough aren’t short of cash after selling Ben Gibson to Burnley for £15m and Adama Traore to Wolves for a fee of around £20m and it appears they are keen to reinvest any cash from transfers thus far into players, to give them the best possible chance of aiming for promotion to the Premier League this season.

Boro managed to pick up a health 3-0 win last night against Sheffield United at the Riverside, but also seem keen to bring in a number of new recruits ahead of tomorrow when the transfer window will slam shut at 5pm.

Bolasie would arguably be the marquee signing of the summer, with the talented winger seemingly set to be on his way out of Goodison Park and suppposedly a deal to bring Bolasie to Boro would only cost £15m, a snip of the £25m fee the Toffees paid for him in the first place.

Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis has been linked with Mo Besic for the majority of summer, but it seems as if he’s set to land his man with around 24hrs to spare before the transfer window shuts.

Middlesbrough are coming on strong late in this window, and looking like a massive force for the forthcoming season.
