Derby County midfielder Jamie Hanson is a target for Burton Albion, according to Derbyshire Live.
The Rams have helped the Brewers by loaning players to them over recent years and could loan Hanson to the League One side this season.
Hanson, who was born in Burton, is down the pecking order at Derby under new boss Frank Lampard and his first-team chances could be limited due to their vast variety of midfield options.
The 22-year-old spent part of last season in the third tier with Wigan Athletic and played 17 games for the Latics under Paul Cook.
He started his career with Derby and rose up through the youth ranks at Pride Park. He has also played 4 times for Engand’s Under-20’s side.
Hanson could gain some more first-team action this season in League One if Burton Albion can lure him to the Pirelli Stadium. The Brewers, who are manager by Nigel Clough, need some numbers in their thread-bare squad and exploring various loan options.
Derby, on the other hand, may look at loaning out some players before the end of the month as they look to cut down on their squad. They have been very busy this summer bringing in the likes of Mason Mount, Harry Wilson, Florian Josefzoon, Jack Marriott, Martyn Waghorn, Fikayo Tomori and George Evans but need to offload players now.
Jamie Hanson is a bright young talent and Derby should loan him to Burton this season for him to get more minutes under his belt.
