7 Championship stars battling it out for top goal scorer

Ross McCormack – 8/1

maccaAfter a few years of transfer speculation McCormack finally left Leeds for Fulham in the summer for a reported £11 million, a signing that the Cottagers hope will help them bounce straight back to the Premier League this year. The Scotsman, who has 11 caps for his country, was the Championship’s top scorer last year having reached 28 goals in 43 appearances in a mediocre Leeds side. Had it not been for his considerable goal tally things might have been even worse for the Yorkshire club. With Konstantinos Mitroglou and Bryan Ruiz likely to leave the Cottage by the end of the transfer window McCormack may be Fulham’s main hope of goals this season. Hugo Rodallega and Cauley Woodrow will play their part but it looks to be down to the Scot to get the majority of the goals, a role he has been familiar with at Leeds and evidently comfortable with. Another great season could see him finally make the step up to the Premier League.
