Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Stephen Henderson is training with Bristol City as he looks to win a move to Ashton Gate.
About Stephen Henderson –
The goalkeeper started his career at Aston Villa before moving to Bristol City in 2007. He managed to make five first-team appearances for Bristol City in a four-year spell which also saw him gain vital experience in several loan spells to Football League clubs, most notably a season playing for Yeovil Town in League One in 2010-11.
His impressive form that season helped earn him a move to Portsmouth where he made 25 league appearances before joining West Ham. He had spells out on loan at Ipswich Town and Bournemouth during his time at Upton Park before making the switch to The Valley in 2014.
Nottingham Forest transfer business –
Nottingham Forest have signed Benfica’s Joao Carvalho for a club-record fee of £13.2m and completed a season-long loan deal for team-mate Diogo Goncalves.
Carvalho, 21, played eight games for Benfica in 2017-18 and has signed a five-year contract at the City ground.
The loan deal for exciting winger Goncalves, also 21, includes an option to buy at the end of his loan spell.
Carvalho’s transfer fee eclipses Nottingham Forest’s previous record transfer fee, which was for striker Britt Assombalonga, who joined from Peterborough for £5.5m in August 2014.
Nottingham Forest have also signed AFC Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban for an undisclosed fee, thought to be £6m.
