The 28-year-old arrives having a fantastic record of Championship goalscoring in recent times when he hit 23 in 32 appearances to inspire Newcastle United’s promotion charge in 2016/17.
Head Coach Darren Moore said: “This deal was in the best interests of both clubs. Dwight is a proven goalscorer in the Championship. He’s quick and sharp off the back of defenders and I believe he will add to our goal threat.”
Dwight said: “The manager attracted me. He’s really enthusiastic about my game and I’m buzzing to come down and I can’t wait to get started.”
In July 2016 Dwight Gayle signed for Newcastle where he netted 23 goals in 32 appearances , he had the best minutes-per-goal ratio in the division, as Newcastle United won the Sky Bet Championship.
He scored six goals in all competitions during the 2017/18 season, laying on three assists for his team-mates as Newcastle United finished tenth in the Premier League.
West Brom were beaten 2-1 by Bolton in their Championship opener on Saturday and with the addition of Dwight Gayle maybe West Brom will turn around this bad start.

Could be a quality bit of business by #wba… Gayle should be a sure thing in the championship. Rondon going to Newcastle could prove his worth by the time he gets back.

Look forward to seeing Dwight Gayle at the Hawthorns and will be keeping one eye on Rondon's exploits at Newcastle. Horrible stroke of luck for him to be here during the Pulis/Pardew era. Hopefully he'll be banging them in this season #wba

Gayle will be deadly in the Championship and as for Sol it’ll be interesting to see how Rafa manages him. He’s always grafted and although being frustrating to watch when not taking chances he’s been in a side where for the past 4 seasons chances have been limited. #wba #nufc https://t.co/TjuEfzLtgZ
