Norwich City keen on move for Celtic midfielder

Norwich City are looking into a deal for Celtic midfielder Regan Hendry, according to journalist Alan Nixon on Twitter.

The Canaries are looking to further bolster their side before the end of the transfer window next Thursday by a couple more signings.

They have got off to a decent start to this season after a 2-2 draw away to Birmingham City yesterday thanks to two goals from Onel Hernandez and are now looking to build on that result.

Their manager, Daniel Farke, has so far brought in goalkeeper Tim Krul on a free transfer, Ben Marshall from Wolves, Jordan Rhodes from Sheffield Wednesday, Emiliano Buendia from Getafe, Felix Passlack from Borussia Dortmund and Teemu Pukki from Brondby.

They are now looking into bringing some fresh enthusiasm and energy by landing Celtic midfielder Regan Hendry, either on loan or on a permanent deal.

The 20-year-old, who is a former Scotland Under-19 international, is highly-rated by the Scottish Premier League champions and their manager, Brendan Rodgers, is believed to be a big fan of his.

Hendry spent the latter part of last season on loan at Scottish League One side Raith Rovers and played 13 games for them to get some first-team experience under his belt.

Norwich do have some good young players in their ranks such as Ben Godfrey, Jamal Lewis and Todd Cantwell. Could Regan Hendry be the next big thing for the Canaries?
